Discussion article for the meetup : Utrecht

After a successful first meetup in Amsterdam we are going to have another one! This time we are relocating to Utrecht, because that’s what most of us felt comfortable with.
It’s just a social meeting. No topics set. Last time we talked about all kinds of things. Ranging from general rationality to Bitcoin and friendly AI.
Meetup location will be starbucks Hollandse Toren. A 5 minute walk from the station (With again the warning, it’s not the Starbucks in the station). I will bring a sign that has "LW" on it. You can reach me at 0653478374.
So how did it go? Any interesting discussions/conclusions/decisions regarding future meetups?
Dang, another one that doesn’t sit well with my planning. I’ll attend at some point, really!

I don’t have any experience with starbucks however. Do you know if it has room similar to the last meetup?

It’s a little smaller, but it should be fine I think. It’s also only a 5 minute walk from the station.

I’m going to have to pass on this one, but I’d like be interested to see comments about how it went. Hopefully this becomes a regular thing in Amsterdam / Utrecht.
Great to see there’s going to be a meetup in the area! I have too many exams the following week but will aim to be there next time. I know another LW member here in Diemen, will ask him if he wants to join. We are both ‘effective altruist’ so if anyone wants to exchange thoughts on making a difference I’d be glad to discuss.
